What Happened?
One of our staff clicked a malicious link included in an email sent by a client who was affected by the attack. This caused the workstation cache to be leaked.
What Are We Doing?
We’ve secured the workstation and are increasing our security protocols and training to better protect ourselves moving forward.
What Should You Do?
Be aware that you may be targeted with phishing type email campaigns that appear to come from Tapplock staff. These types of emails will sometimes contain attachments that you are asked to open, or links that you are asked to follow. If you see a suspicious email coming from Tapplock, please do not click on any links or attachments. Check the email address of the sender to ensure that it truly is coming from someone at Tapplock (ends with @tapplock.com).
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and if you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please feel free to reach out to us directly.
Kind regards,
Tapplock Team
